While other batteries might fit, we strongly advise against using them.

• Inconsistent Performance:Other brands or types of batteries may not provide the consistent power output required by MyGate Smart Locks, leading to unpredictable behavior, shorter battery life, or even malfunctions.

• Potential Damage:Using incompatible batteries could potentially cause damage to the internal electronic components of your lock, which might not be covered under warranty.

• Rechargeable Batteries: We generally do not recommend rechargeable batteries for smart locks. They often have a lower nominal voltage and a more unpredictable discharge curve, which can lead to sudden power loss without adequate warning, potentially leaving you locked out.
